Freak Shoes
Wiggling my toes in my toe shoes
I can’t stop thinking about a freaky little shoe.
It’s a weird shoe summer and I am really into it.
Expanding a little on last week, I want to see more unconventional shapes balanced with conventional fits.
And by that I mean, I am absolutely loving walking to work in the Financial District and seeing a buttoned up baddie with her tabis poking out.
Wear weird shapes and combos!
This summer, and hopefully the rest of the year, I am embracing the odd shapes I can make with a funky shoe.
Here are the freaky shoes I have my eye on right now…
A plain heel with a calla lily as a strap… gorgeous.
Ballet flats with a rubber heel and an almost high top back. Boxer boots meet ballet girl.
Victorian-esque boots. Love the pointed toe and randomly bulbous heel.
Once again, are they ballet flats or are they sneakers? Who cares, they’re shockingly silver!
These funny little things I have not been able to stop thinking about. Sporty, quirky, plain yet loud.
And then of course, the freak shoe king of freak shoes. I used to be a hater, but I’ve been reformed.
It’s a weird shoe summer, get into it.
Be quirked up, be unpredictable.
Wear things that excite you.
For me, I’ll be excited to wear a freaky shoe.

Metallic shoes a perennial favorite. Fun and neutral.
