Peek-A-Toe
Just a hint
Having just gotten back from Europe during a record-breaking heatwave, I have never been so excited to wear pants.
Wearing skirts and a mini dress is fun until it’s what you have to wear to avoid sweating through your last clean piece of clothing and trying to regulate your body temperature so you don’t turn into a heat-induced monster with your travel companions.
Returning to temperate and breezy San Francisco felt like a gift to say the least.
DISCLAIMER: Yes (!) I was in Europe (Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin) and yes (!) I shopped. So there have been new pieces in my closet that I am excited to experiment with.
Mais, bien sûr!
For most of the week, I usually reach for a skirt. But this week, (I have a new pair of jeans to play with) I have been having a lot of fun playing with my pants.
Particularly, playing with hemline lengths and shoe silhouettes.
It’s summertime, I want to have some fun with my clothes!
I’ve been doing
a balloon leg jean with my little brown tabis,
a lacy capri with a kitten heel or a ballet flat,
a straight leg with a square-toed boot,
a wide leg with some clogs.
My goal with getting dressed this week has been visual interest from top to bottom.
Never letting my outfit feel flat or lacking.
I’m having fun outside and the weather is beautiful so I want to have fun in my clothes and feel beautiful!
